all event planning for everyone and communities
Alright it's time to reach out to your neighbors.. let's not judge others or dislike them because they are different from you. We are in this world together and we should act like it. explore where you live, see who can offer services you may need. If you want to make a little more money offer your services for various things. Post flyers around with what you want to do along with contact information and times you are available. Ok get going the sooner the better. Good Luck!
Let's prepare ballot cards.. list names that were nominated and what category.. give out to your guests so they can fill in their predictions.. set aside serve drinks and flavored popcorn... set up a table with simple dips and finger food. To make it all look elegant tie a black ribbon tie around tall glasses and use paper ware with gold borders and gold plastic ware. Hang gold stars over the food table and some large stars on the floor from entering the door. You may mix gold and silver or just gold. Add stirrers that spell "Hollywood" and banners to hang around the room. You can find great stuff at the $1.00 store or .99 cent store. Also Wal-Mart or Target. Pass out the ballot cards and your guests can make their votes and have a fun night giving out guest goodie bags to carry home use small muslin bags add gold star pens and chocolate and peanut candies, or fruity candies or cupcakes you prepared. So many ideas you can choose from. You can spend more at Party City and get scene starters for your walls and Oscars made out of cardboard. Garland and many other decorations. It's up to you and spending a little or a lot your night will be exciting and fun. Send out invitations, ask your guests to dress up and walk on the walk of stars or the red carpet. YES! You can have one, check Wal-Mart or Target for the wide felt you can cover your carpet or floor with. Have a great Oscar Night!!
Start with something fun and get everyone involved. Ask your neighbors to participate in a Talent Show! Children and Adults. Afterwards having a Taco and burrito feast. You may post flyers asking for interested parties to audition and pick a committee to help choose participants. Your community members can pick the winners by applauding the most. The event can be held in your community center or outside if weather permits. Hold this event on the week end and asking those who can bring a dish that can be used to make tacos and burritos plus the garnishments. Or take up a collection and select a team that will put the items together and lay out on a long table. Allow people to add what they want to their treat. Buying water and juice no sodas, not healthy. A couple of you from the community can start this off. Once you do an event it becomes easier and more people will want to get involved. Don't get cold feet, talking to people is not hard. Be to the point but courteous, be understanding if someone says no. You may explain how this type of activity can bring your community together. I will post more ideas of fun stuff bringing your community together. Also you can call your local radio station and ask that they announce your event. There is weekly announcements of neighborhood activities, in most cities. Normally there is no cost for this service. Invite your councilman or woman, even the Mayor. Call his office, extend an invitation. Take plenty of pictures so they can be posted for all to see. ENJOY!
It's getting warmer and time to come out and get to know your neighbors. Start a group of people that would like to play soccer or basketball, even dominos or chess. Post flyers for your interests around your neighborhood and the flyers should contain your phone number and times available for these activities. Most importantly where you will meet. Ask if the interested parties have equipment or games for what is chosen also. This is an easy step to get your community together. There are plenty of ideas to come, so please check here for more!
